First lady Melania Trump’s hat caught the attention of many across the country and on social media on Inauguration Day.
The man behind the inauguration hat design, Eric Javits, has been creating headwear for decades. His hats are a familiar sight on the national stage. They have been showcased by celebrities including Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Ariana Grande and other first ladies like Hillary Clinton and Laura Bush.
“I thought she looked amazing, very polished, very pulled together,” Javits told “CBS Mornings.” “I think it reflected the formality of the occasion.”
Some light hearted jokes about the hat was that she purposely wore the hat to make it diffucilt for Trump to Kiss her!
On the Trip to U.K
She arrived at Windsor Castle wearing a wide-brimmed purple hat that seemed to obscure her eyes, which she paired with a timeless, dark grey suit by Dior.
“Melania’s hat is not by chance,” said Kwei.
“The hat with the wide brim that hides her face is pointing to a stance where she wants all eyes on her husband and his agenda while here,” she added
Kwei noted that Melania’s hat matched the exact colour of Trump’s tie, in “a nod to her support for her husband’s agenda during this state visit”.
Dior is a favourite fashion house for Melania, and, for Kwei, her decision to wear it is a nod to America’s support for Europe.
But in all her head gears not only where they elegant, the suit the occassion and always mase a statement for her.
