Former President Muhammadu Buhari has Passed away in london at the age of 82. The news was confirmed by family sources and close aides early Sunday Morning.
General Buhari, who served as Nigeria’s Military Ruler from 1983 to 1985 before returning as a democratically elected president in 2015, died while recieving medical attention in the United Kingdom. He had been in and out of the country in recent months for undisclosed health reasons.
His Presidency from 2015 to 2023 was marked by ambitious infastructural projects, Loan Disbursements upto grassroot level, Youth Empowerment (NPower Scheme), Renewed attention to agriculture and Remarkable efforts to curtail insurgency in the Northeast. However he faced Criticism for economic downturns, Rising Insecurity, Nepotism, Heightened Tribalism and shrinking of Civil Liberties..
