Olamide Brown, née Orekunrin, is the founder of the Flying Doctors Healthcare Investment Group and Director Greentree Investment Company.

Ola is a British-Nigerian trained medical doctor and a healthcare entrepreneur, who attended the Hull York Medical School. She was motivated to start the Flying Doctors after experiencing the loss of her sister under difficult circumstances and to improve medical services in Nigeria.

She successfully established Flying Doctors in Lagos, Nigeria in 2007.

In 2019, she founded The Flying Doctors Healthcare Investment Company, a healthcare and wellness sector investment firm that brings together the investment and operational activities her team conducts in the health and wellness space. 

Ola is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians and was listed among Young Global Leaders by World Economic Forum in 2013.

After graduation, she worked and was awarded the Japanese MEXT scholarship which helped her to further her studies in Tokyo, Japan. She is an international speaker, who has spoken at the World Economic Forum, TED Global Conference, the Social Media Week Lagos, the European Union, the Swiss Economic Forum, the UN, the World Bank, the World Economic Forum, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge University and the Aspen Ideas Festival.

Also, she has been featured on various media platforms. She is an editor of the International Journal of Emergency Services and author of three books – EMQ’s in Pediatrics, Pre-Hospital Care for Africa and Fixing Healthcare in Nigeria; a Guide to Public Healthcare Policy. And written articles in the British Medical Journal, the Journal of Emergency Medical Services, the Niger Delta Medical Journal, The New York Times and The Huffington Post.
